Prune curry leaf in summer time

Due to sooty mold, one of the diseases many of the growers experience, I did hard prune on June 30. 10 days after, There are 4 new buds shooting ! What a joy! Nice to see them within such a short period.

Just think about where the plant is grown, which is tropical climate where winter does not exist. Then why not do prune in summer?

I encourage prune in summer time to increase number of branches for more leaves to harvest. Isn’t that nice?
